Have a lot to cover but going to try to get my build log in here cleaned up from when it started about a year and a half ago.

So....

Electrical which has stayed the same:

  • DC Power 270XP alternator
  • XS Power D3400 under the hood
  • Shuriken BT-35 in the trunk
  • A positive and negative run of Trystar 2/0 welding cable front to back
  • All other wire is Knu Konceptz OFC 1/0awg and 4awg

I'll list the equipment as it is shown. Time to start with the doors.

I had never done anything fiberglass before so it was a big project to tackle. All work was done by my brother Tom and myself. At some point I do some custom sail pods that Matt (IH8PunkRok) Had two sets of Infinity Kappa 60.9cs running on a Elemental Designs Nine.4.

I ran one tweeter in the stock location and the other on the doors

Couldn't fish the wires through the doors so I ended up just saying screw it and took them off.

And that is pretty much where it ended. I tried so many different colors and never found anything I liked. And eventually led to a change but thats later to come. But heres a video from some point in time. They were definitely loud but I never did really fall in love with them.

And to finish this post heres what my piece of shit Taurus looks like. lol. Nothing special but I do a crazy amount of driving daily with work and it has been a great car over the past 5 years.

I've always had stereos and have been around it forever with my brother being about 8 years older then me. But i've never had a sub that weighed over 15lbs. Jumped on the bandwagon and got a 12" DC XL.

Had a handful of boxes within the first month of owning this so just going to go over some of them and specs of the top of my head.

This box worked a lot better. Pulled off a 41.xx this time around and also switched to a US Amps MD3D...well. went through two of them. Ended up blowing them both in the end.

So heres a few videos from this set up.

And my only "hair trick" haha

Don't have any pictures of it but originally had a Kenwood KDC-X994. Switched to a Pioneer AVH-P5200 flip out and still run this head unit and love besides hating flip outs.

And then my next project came along...or addiction, whichever you prefer. I bought a set of Hertz HSK 163 three way speakers.

These were straight forward. Got some new door panels and made some nice speaker rings that fit just right, custom sail pods, and mounted the tweeter in the pillar. Matt came up for the weekend to help with this and earned a set of some Hertz Energy speakers :detail:

Some very nice second skin, door panel, inner door, and outer door.

And add about 10 hours of sanding in here and we finished with this.

Never got a lot of good videos of these since youtube's music rights bs. But after this I got addicted to Hertz. Loved the sound of these and was amazed at the beating they could take. Hours and hours of use and sounded amazing doing it.
