Blake71091 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Please read lower not a versus thread (using these two batteries as examples) I know a good amount about car audio except some of the more detailed stuff: box math, tuning, batteries... I've been looking up alternative batteries to the almighty XS D3100 and I found the Deka Intimidator 9A31. Side by side the Deka Intimidator 9A31 and the XS D3100 look pretty similar: Basically what I'm getting at is can someone maybe briefly explain how I determine what size battery I need for any size audio application in a vehicle? What specs are WE (car audio heads) interested in? Etc... I couldn't find information on the MAXIMUM OUTPUT of the Deka Intimidator...the XS D3100 says its maximum output is 5000 amps. How do I determine maximum output? Thank you so much for the read and spending your time helping out an amateur! Knowledge is power!

I haven't really heard much about the Dekas.
