So I just order a dual 1 ohm 15" Fi Q last weekend and also ordered a budget amp for the time being which is a hifonics Brutus BRZ1700.1 The paperwork with the recommends when you run 1 sub to use a dual 2 ohm sub and wire it in parallel to obviously bring it down to 1 ohm. Will I have any issues running a dual 1 ohm with this amp? I e-mailed Fi today to see if they can change my order to dual 2 ohm sub Any opinions/suggestions? Ballen194 Posted March 2, 2012 Report Share Posted March 2, 2012 You shouldve gotten the dual 2 and wired to 1 ohm. The brutus line is 1 ohm stable. And absolutely nothing wrong with that amp. That's my bad don't know why I didn't order that to begin with They should be able to fix it for you. But with a dual 1 sub, I wouldn't recommend wiring to .5. But wiring up to 2 ohms isn't gonna give you all your amp can provide. I'm only going to run 1 sub in the truck dont think I will ever run 2 just don't really have the space for 2 15s I know the sub hasn't shipped yet so hopefully they can get it taken care of for me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
