That is a port, it is only a test, these speakers aren't the greatest so too big of a port will cause it to have too much air and will not hit too great. The port is facing towards the trunk of the car, and it sounded great when I had the back seat out but once I put the back seat back in, it sounds like crap. I am going to be building a new box with the port facing out the whole in the back seat where the arm rest comes down. Most batteries built today have a seal that doesn't allow the acid or fumes to fumigate, plus the battery has already been swapped out with an old Optima - planning to get an XS or a Kinect. I am also working on getting better cheap 15s that will work better and build a new box.

**** This was just a one weekend project. I just wanted to share with everyone and to see what it looks\sounds like in a trunk of the Acura.
