vettedude102 Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 I have the 3.5k and I'm going to be getting an mb quart 125.4. I have a mechman 220 amp alt and a d3400 already. I was just wondering which would better fit my needs. Quote 2 polk audio 4x6'skenwood head-unit 220 amp Mechman alt1979 Corvette 2003 corvette z06 alpine radio and the bose system that came stock
Loslam Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 Another one under the hood or in the back? Quote 1997 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab, 350 Vortec Things to come at some point... Build Log: http://www.stevemead...2200ds-133-ohm/
MIKE-2U Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 I know the xp 2000 and the whole xp line are better for secondary batteries. I do not recall the specs. I would have to say the xp 2000 battery because as you posted it would be used in the back. Maybe someone else can clarify that. vettedude102 Posted March 7, 2012 Author Report Posted March 7, 2012 (edited) Both batts in the back. It'll be the secondary batt Edited March 7, 2012 by vettedude102 Quote 2 polk audio 4x6'skenwood head-unit 220 amp Mechman alt1979 Corvette 2003 corvette z06 alpine radio and the bose system that came stock
Loslam Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 I'd get an xp3000 or d3100 for secondary battery, but if your voltage drop isn't that bad atm another d3400 or xp2000 might do you fine Quote 1997 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab, 350 Vortec Things to come at some point... vettedude102 Posted March 7, 2012 Author Report Posted March 7, 2012 The biggest I could fit is a 3400 or the xp2000. The thing is, is that the guide for the 3400 is good for 2500-4000 watts and the xp2000 it just says 2000 watts Quote 2 polk audio 4x6'skenwood head-unit 220 amp Mechman alt1979 Corvette 2003 corvette z06 alpine radio and the bose system that came stock
Nathan @ XSpower Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 If it is for daily use I would save my money and get the XP2000. If it is for competition use I would get the D3400. The D3400 is a better more powerfull battery, but if you are just using it for daily use and not in comps then you aren't going to miss anything. Quote
