SeanKingsley Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 Gday' im starting to look at re doing my boot set up and starting again. ive been looking at a pair of: http://www.audiosavings.com/products/18-Inch-Car-Subwoofer/RE-Audio-MX18D1-MX-18-3000-Watt---1500w-RMS-Car-Subwoofer-Competition-Sub/MX18D1.aspx and then amp or amps to suit. a second battery and then wireing kit also and whats peoples opinion on these subs? ive been told 18's can burn themselves out? im looking for something loud... and deep bass. im happy to spend around the 2-3g mark inc shiping atm i only have 2x hertz ep1 d amps 2x clarion pxw1552 subs in a custom box and has done 140db so i know these will be alot louder. cheers
mattc3366 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Well my advise is to ignore whoever said 18s burn themselves out and you could probably also find a good pair of 18s for cheaper than that. Just look around subwoofers - two eclipse 88120s box - 3.4 cubes tuned to 32 hz amps - aq1200 and pheonix gold zx450 New build : 2 obsidian audio 15s same amp 6.1 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz in a civic hatch

Just look around my big issue is im over in australia. that price from audio savings is less than 1/2 rrp over here after shipping still. but if someone has a second hand pair ide buy them and pay for freight to me or where ever it needs to go.
