Sundown Extended Cab (UPDATES!! Custom Grills, Trim panels, etc.)

Ive learned so much here, I figured it was my turn to give back. Nothings finished and lots of things need to be redone.

First off I had to add more fiberglass to the inside and get this stuck down better, the subs are beast.

Started building bracing for the trim panels

Then pulled some wires for my High's amp

^^^ Anybody have experience with these? it a old 2 channel 200 watt.

Gotta have the fan

Top panels getting cut

A little raised line to add some complexity to the big grey areas (didn't turn out that good in the end, I will end up re-wrapping the panels)

This is the back strip that goes over the amp fully completed

Wrapping a few parts of the interior with black.

The center console wasn't the easiest to wrap nicely, I think it is just one big chunk of foam, so the under need some type of panel.

Dried and trimmed up

I am going to paint the under panel gloss black, but i'm not the yet.

And to the doors (one the best things I think i've done to the truck looks wise).

Contact Cement from home depot (Weldwood) better than any spray adhesive i've used! (from a can) I just brush it on with a disposable brush like you use for fiberglass.

Started the new overhead console, I have a few idea's in-store for this one.

I'm gonna shape it up a little for a better place to mount the screen (the MDF frame will be propped at an angle and then I will bondo it smooth):

A volt meter and a VU meter will be in it

Soldered a female phono jack for the music input.

And some night shots (not in the truck)

I will be working on this all day, it should turn out real nice. I'm thinking black paint with gray vinyl trim and tinted lexan piece to the meters. Some metal mesh will be attached on the back and purple LED's will glow through it.

Made my own LED strip lol They look blue, but they are purple.
