I smell the need for an LS1

looking good so far

:lol2: and facepalm at that comment im a v8 guy and even im woowed about some serious boost, put 2 bar+ to a v8 and see what happens :peepwall: prolly not so good but a straight six thats been line honed ooooooo yea

facepalm? Are you serious? Dollar for dollar, the LS-1 wins hands down, drive-ability wins hands down, reliability wins hands down, the only difference might come in weight, which after turbo piping and everying will be meh.... I love toyota, I love 2jz-e motors. I want to put a 2jz in a GNX just to fuck with people. I love both motors, but on a budget, the LS-1 is king, or even a LT-4

any way, OP I will be looking for updates, MKII's have a special place in my heart :)

@pstone, thank you, im hoping this will be the last  install in this car so im trying to make sure its perfect

@cortez, that box sounds interesting, i may hit you up on that, as far as sub stage im not 100% sure what my substage will be just yet, been kickin around a few ideas with a good friend and am leaning toward a dc xl 10", or maybe a pair of lvl 3 10"s, hell i even like the aq subs too so who knows, the amp im really unsure of right now but it will be between 1500-2200w or somewhere there abouts.

im getting the electricals all fixed up before i get the substage decided on and put in. i think it will be easier to decide what i want and need depending on where my final voltage ends up ect ect. i dont wanna out power my car and tear up a bunch of nice gear, as stated abocve im hoping this will be the last install in this car.

as far as engines ill be keeping the staight six and will probly end up at a final rear wheel HP around 350-400 if im lucky. but this car is my daily and does 80mi a day and has been for years so again i dont want to out power the car. plus im old now and drive like a grandma everywhere i go anyway haha.

im not trying to start argueing on this guys build log sorry you believe that...all this maybe you should pm me and ill explain

1. ls-1 is a much heavier platform making it very front heavy, for a car that is getting to very good weight distrobution

2. there are stock turbos, you wouldnt be adding any plumbing! so for under 400 you can get some serious boost over 14 lbs!! 300 to the wheels

3. most the good aftermarket turbo parts are lighter too so your weight distribution would even be better (lighter exhaust)

4. dollar for dollar you have 2 less pistons and everything to buy (rods, pistons), turbos arnt that anymore

u need to get your self in a car with over 2 bar boost! it will change ur mind, and i got a 71 pantera hiding in a garage :peepwall:

@OP lemme know and ill send ya a picture or give u a link

this design was for low power for kinda cheap, but a lot of output

but if ur goin 2 12s and 2k u can get loud in that lil cabin i love em
