RAGU408 Posted March 23, 2012 Report Share Posted March 23, 2012 I have a 1990 honda accord running the newer 2011 models 2 10's alpine type R's 600 RMS each an a BOSS PH5000D 1800 Rms amp an 4 awg wiring an my battery is 3 months old it is a EVERSTART Plus battery it says 550 cold cranking amps. my question is would i be good with just a high output alternator?http://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-HONDA-ACCORD-HIGH-OUTPUT-165-AMPS-ALTERNATOR-/160734828759?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item256c8ad8d7&vxp=mtr#ht_1013wt_754 this is the only one with the highest output i could find for my car. i have all stock electrical no big 3 or nothing. do i need another battery with this alternator an witch one would be perfect for my setupu? i wanna upgrade because my deck shuts off when im playing it loud an every light in my car dims from the dash lights to my deck an head lights?
