Mazda 3 electrical

So I just did the big 3 to try to eliminate dimming yet I'm still dimming slightly..

The alt is only 90a but the only thing I'm driving is a hifonics Brutus 1200.d @ 2 ohms which should be around 800 watts.

I'm also using a diehard gold battery which I know isnt car audio but it's better than the factory battery.

Any suggestions ?

I will be also adding a 4 channel amp in the future what else would I need to add when I do that ?

Your dimming comes from your voltage going from the level of the alternator to the level of the battery. The only thing that will cure your problem is a higher amperage alternator

Hmm well it doesn't dim too bad, and only at or near my highest listening volume.. How bad does it stress the alternator when the voltage is dropping like that ? I want to try to hold off on an alt until I add a 4 ch amp if possible.

Basically what I'm asking is , is it safe to allow these voltage drops ?

I would upgrade the battery to a better technology for your application. For instance an AGM battery probably won't solve your problem, but would be a better option than a diehard.

When your voltage is dropping thats when its hardest on the reglator.
