str86diesel Posted December 19, 2007 Report Share Posted December 19, 2007 I was playing with the alpine deck not too long ago (comparing it to the kenwood 7100 with nav). It definately was more intuitive then the Kenwood. However, I will say...if you are looking at the Alpine for the Nav, do a buy and try on the blackbird before you purchase this deck. I have a garmin 660 that I carry everywhere with me and comparing it to the blackbird was a joke. The Alpine Nav was horrible. I found the database to be extremely outdated. It couldn't find several address in my area and the ones that it did fine, it took me way out of my way to get back to the address.
