Sheena Posted April 3, 2012 Report Share Posted April 3, 2012 how did it not work? lol remove the wood from your trunk and set it on a work bench. take the cardboard and place it ontop of the piece, then run a knife, or sharp instrument along the edges. if done correctly this will give you an exact cardboard replica of what you need to reproduce on a sheet of mdf. 1/2" or 3/4" is really your call on the mdf. put the cardboard ontop of the mdf sheet and sharpie around the edges, then either use a router to cut the shape out, or a jigsaw. Right, but your talking baout the peice under the carpet for more support.. I'm talking about the whole thing.. wanting to MDF the whole trunk bottom and carpet it.
