jizzybizzy
i have some old 10'' woofers that used to be in my car just lying around and they were my first system so i cant sell it. too much emotional value tied to it. and i hate to see them just sit in my garage. so i was wondering if there was a way to make them work in my house. if so i would like to know what all i need to power it. im just going to set them up in my basement gym so i can bump while i pump. any help is much appreciated! you ain't been bizzy til you've been wit jizzy. NotoriouslyLoud
as far as i know you would just make an enclosure for the sub, and you would want to power it with a plate amp so that it did not pull all the power out of your receiver. plate amps- http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage.cfm?&a...FTOKEN=24218382 http://www.notoriouslyloudmafia.com http://www.teamwolfpackaudio.com

MickyMcD
A car woofer is still a woofer. Give it an amp and it will pump air. Build a box, tuned nice and deep (Within 30-38hz, 25hz + for deep tuning) and buy a plate amplifier that will give out the correct amount of power at the woofer's inpedance. Please do not tune the enclosure lower than the woofers cut off frequency. It will not last long.
