TheNewbie Posted April 20, 2012 Report Posted April 20, 2012 Well I have been lookin on mobile today trying to find out the equation to how many batteries and how big but rather than asking everyone does someone have an equation? Kinda confused I have a 90 amp alt with a xp975 in back and wondering what to put up front. I'll be running 1500 watts or so, and I know you should not cheap out on electrical which I'm not I just don't want to go overboard as it helps me stay within my budget. I was thinking d525 but not sure if it would be enough so my question is is there a equation to figure how much I'll need? 01ExSport Posted April 21, 2012 Report Posted April 21, 2012 Not sure if it's hearsay, but I remember hearing you add up your amperage pull, minus what your alt puts out, and make up the difference in A/H from batteries. Can't tell ya if it's a reliable method at all, but i've based my batt bank off of to an extent.
