bmwlimon805 Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Hey guys im kinda new to car audio and im going to be starting a build on a 1993 bmw 325is so far i have a kenwood excelon headunit (kdc-x696) audiopipe 15001d amp and 2 rockford fosgate p3d212's. so my question is what are some good component sets i can get and a good 4 channel amp? ive been thinking about getting the rockford fosgate t2 power component set or focal polyglass set 165vb but i have no idea which amp to get. my budget is $250 for a 4 channel amp and around $400- $500 for 2 pairs of component speakers. Any advice would be much appreciated. thanks
Watch the bass Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Go away from the Focal idea, the real high good is in the higher series. Josh Mathis Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 t2 power components are great my buddy is running 2 sets in each door of a 2005 colorado and the vocals are crisp... that being said if you are only running 2 p3's the t2 components will be over kill (four sets over power 4 15" t2d4 subs running 5000 watts rms). i would go with the punch components, but thats just me. now as for an amp if you are doing a Rockford Fosgate build i would stick with a RF amp. rockford makes a p300.2 that would power door speakers nicely. they range form $185 to $239.99 (straight from Rockford) i hope this helped Rockford Lover S.C.

Nice RF T 400.4 in your budget http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROCKFORD-FOSGATE-800W-T400-4-4-CHANNEL-CAR-AMPLIFIER-/150638781197?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item2312c5630d "in the abundance of water, the fool is thirsty" Bob Marley
bmwlimon805 Posted April 23, 2012 Author Report Posted April 23, 2012 Yah i think i will most likely get that amp. so 2 compsets would be over kill ?the subs i have now are from the last car i had but i plan on getting some new ones in the near future maybe some dc audio subs not sure yet

And in the rear you put pair, of lowwatt livebale 6x9 with a high dB/watt ratio and wire them to the HU. The music have to come from the front in caraudio, so there is no big need in much bang from the rear. for the sound. "in the abundance of water, the fool is thirsty" Bob Marley
Josh Mathis Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 if you are wanting to upgrade the subs later then go ahead and get the t2 components. just know they aren't cheap and they suck power for door speakers. but if you have rockford, stick with rockford. functional is great but if everything matches it looks cleaner and in the long run preforms better... just my oppenion (i love rockford so i have a bias oppenion) Rockford Lover S.C.
bmwlimon805 Posted April 23, 2012 Author Report Posted April 23, 2012 yah im actually gonna buy a pair of t2 components today and get the amp when i get paid in two weeks and see how they sound i found the t2's on ebay for around 180 dollars
