Joseph Loyd
I have RE Audio XT4000DE V3 and I'm wanting to get 2 Boston Acoustics SPG555. But I am not sure what would be better to get as far as the 2ohm or 4ohm model. Also I would like to run them in parallel. If anyone can help it would be most appreciated. letemrip32
Best bet is to get 2 4ohm models, run them in parallel to get down to 2 ohms and then bridge them to the amp so it's running just around 1000w That would produce the most power for your money. The other option is to get 2 2ohm models and run them in series to get to 4 ohms, but that would decrease your power by 1/2 if not more. Up to you tho! letemrip32
Thank you very much, but what about 2 2ohm im parallel, or would that be to much? that would drop it down to 1 ohm and from what i was reading, that amp is stable at 1 ohm as well for 1600rms, which would be good, just set the gains properly and you should be good. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_15774_Boston-Acoustics-SPG555-4.html that shows wiring diagrams for what you are looking for.
