Jessica
Hate to come in and rain on your parade, i know you are hard up for cash as it is. But if you are getting back pressure that made the water pump gasket leak then you probably have a cracked head. The water pump just doesn't have that much power. Considering the cost of a thermostat you could just buy one and a gasket for it and pull yours off and drop it into boiling water. If it opens it's good. Heck, you could even just take it out ad run without it, it will just run cooler in the winter. Also, congrats on building a new box! Hope it turns out nice for ya! Hope it turns out nice for ya! nah youre cool man the reason it had built up pressure was there was something nasty as fuck (looked like one of those stop leak pellets gone bad) blocking the overflow tube out of the radiator and when the water heated up it blew the bottom radiator hose and i went to the local pick and pull found a brand freakin new bottom radiator hose flushed everything swapped the bad thermostat out wth a restrictor plate (basically a washer) and it ran fine till i put a new thermostat in then it went back to actin up real bad put the plate back in and its running like its right off the show room floor, dont know why its like that either, all i know is i get ths job im fixing everything on the blazer edit~ also quick question when i entered everything into re's box calculator as is it came up with tuned to 22 hz and if i take the back port wall out of the equation it says its 30 hz what do yall think leave it as is or take the back wall out? http://www.youtube.c...e1?feature=mheehttp://www.stevemead...87#entry1993187 JVC KD-R530 head unit VVME INNO-D1500 sub amp Kenwood KAC-8402 amplifierPioneer 2-way 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohms DTI Audio 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohmsbox: 4.24 ft^3 tuned to 61 hertz (port walls fell off and dissapeared )
