Hate to come in and rain on your parade, i know you are hard up for cash as it is. But if you are getting back pressure that made the water pump gasket leak then you probably have a cracked head. The water pump just doesn't have that much power. Considering the cost of a thermostat you could just buy one and a gasket for it and pull yours off and drop it into boiling water. If it opens it's good. Heck, you could even just take it out ad run without it, it will just run cooler in the winter.

Also, congrats on building a new box! Hope it turns out nice for ya!

Good luck on your interview

yea i hope i get it too thanks yall

yeah while i was at home depot was lookin at the diff choices and while i was lookin i noticed tat the edges arent the strongest and well im pretty sure youve worked with mdf before and now what im talking about but i got to thinkin you know if i got one of the skinnier peices what garuntee do i have that i wont force the scres loose and create an air leak, you know?

im also adding a peice of either 1/2 or 3/4 inch i dont remeber which off hand but its a peice of oak im going to cut the exact same as the hole and just big enough for the screws to sink into and get a good bite you know just for extra protection

oh while im thinking about it i completely for got bfore but added an eastec 1.5 inch tweet with bass blocker to each of the front doors and i switched the rear door speakers out again for a pair of eastec mids/highs and right now im also working on designs for the front doors then im going to design the rear doors an finally im going to design a center console hich ill more than likely need help with the console. ill upload the design i have so far for the front doors tomorrow if yall ant but im out gotta gt up early in the morning.

nah youre cool man the reason it had built up pressure was there was something nasty as fuck (looked like one of those stop leak pellets gone bad) blocking the overflow tube out of the radiator and when the water heated up it blew the bottom radiator hose and i went to the local pick and pull found a brand freakin new bottom radiator hose flushed everything swapped the bad thermostat out wth a restrictor plate (basically a washer) and it ran fine till i put a new thermostat in then it went back to actin up real bad put the plate back in and its running like its right off the show room floor, dont know why its like that either, all i know is i get ths job im fixing everything on the blazer

edit~ also quick question when i entered everything into re's box calculator as is it came up with tuned to 22 hz and if i take the back port wall out of the equation it says its 30 hz what do yall think leave it as is or take the back wall out?
