I would get a newer head unit. I got mine of a buddy for $20 and its only about 3 years old, plus it's pioneer and has a lot of current features like multiple aux and USB. I really don't need or would use bluetooth in my car. But maybe an airhose, windex, toothpick, and q-tips?

Dude powering 101, wtf is up with that ground. Worse comes to worse, always make the ground bigger. This is for 2 main reasons. If a surges go through, it could heat up the wire enough to catch fire or you cant ground it fast enough and the amp gets fried. Also, electrodes travel from negative to positive so in a strange way power travels opposite than one might think. :D Therefore a bigger ground means more power.

Fix that before you bump anymore.

Edited a minor word mistake.

Love the old school kenwood. You need a bigger ground, and those speaker wires.... I think 24ga is probably too small. Maybe. I'm not hatin', i've been there too. Got to work with what you have. Radio shack sells very nice 12ga OFC speaker wire for 50 cents a foot. You only need like three or four feet, so like a couple bucks and that will be covered. You could just use Rubbing Alcohol on your headunit and let it dry before powering it up i think. Maybe a cotton swab could help. And canned air.

as for the speaker wire its just temp till i can find my roll of 14 ga the rubbing alcohol is a good idea but which would work better rubbing alcohol or windex? as for going to radio shack um yeah im on the opposite side of town and the blazer has enough gas for my lil test sessions and to get to the gas station around the corner :( other wise id be there in a heartbeat....
