PURP's 02 Denali
What are the differences between a D2 and a D4? And What are some pros and cons of each? Also What do you guys think is better in your own opinion? Thanks in advance for any and all input.
RickyFriery97
all it is is for diffrent wiring options, if you need a final ohm load of 1 ohm, then you would need two D4 http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp Quote 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer
Kevin Geissler
this might help, there is no performance difference... but when wiring them single or multiple, its important to have the right impediance http://www.crutchfield.com/learn/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_dual.html Quote Pioneer DEH-9400 Kicker door Speakers Rockford R400.4 Skar 1500.1 2 DC lvl 2 15s

Kevin Geissler
if your only running one 15 and its a dual 2, you can either wire it to stay at 2 ohm or take it to 1 ohm. but if you do multiple subs, youll normally buy a dual 4 Quote Pioneer DEH-9400 Kicker door Speakers Rockford R400.4 Skar 1500.1 2 DC lvl 2 15s

You can't leave it at 2 ohms. Edited May 1, 2012 by One Way 1 Quote T-line build- http://www.stevemead...e-t-line-build/

One Way
There is no difference between series and parrallel, or d4 and d2. It's only there to let you adjust the type of amp you can run to the subs.
