iceman1575 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 The rattle in my Z71 is killing me. I have some SS Damplifier left (not exactly sure how much, probably about 12-14 2x1 pieces IIRC). Where would be the key pieces on a Silverado's roof that I could deaden to kill some of the rattle? Can I get away with most of it or should I do as much as I can? I can order more if needed. POTATO!
Second Skin Rep Jon Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 It really depends on where and what is causing the rattle. Remember rattles are caused by two objects physically touching/vibrating against each other, so if you can eliminate this your rattle(s) will cease to be an issue. So what I always suggest is to find out what exactly is rattling and isolate it by using some closed cell foam, rubber, etc.. Have a question about Second Skin? E-Mail me!
