aleroking Posted May 9, 2012 Author Report Share Posted May 9, 2012 yeah the rear deck does provide structural integrity. allegedly its supposed to keep the rear of the car stiff. Ive heard alot of people who say your car can fold in half if you go over rail road tracks hard that kind of thing. Thats why i say allegedly. There isnt a ton of info out there but removing the whole thing and not reinforcing the hell out of it just seems like a bad idea to me. I did come up with an idea for leaving the rear deck in place and building around it and then using the rear deck to anchor the wall in imjust not sure it would be worth the effort. interesting thats why i went with the shape design i did to navigate around the rear deck, i would of loved to do a big slanted back wall. That's a nice whip.
