Scynte
I'm tossing up between a single 10" Skar VVX or a 12" Skar VVX basically depending on room in the boot. Main concern at the moment after playing with Torres for a bit is the port size. Amp will be a Hifonics GLX 1400.1 wired to 2ohm. For the 10" box specs are W: 24" H: 14" D: 11" Port specs (3 common walls) H: 12.5" W: 1" L: 18" Tuned to around 32htz 12" box specs are W: 28" H: 14" D: 14" Port specs (3 common walls) H: 12.5" W: 1.5" L: 19" Tuned around 34htz Is the width of these enclosures going to cause me trouble? Car is an EL Fairmont Mostly listen to Rock, Dance/Techno?? Can never remember what it's called. Thanks for your help! Edited: Forgot to list amp. CleanSierra
Dimensions given for the box with the 10" with displacement of sub and port is actually tuned to 35s(35.18). 12" box is tuned to 33.15 with displacements. I'd go with the 12" setup, make the port 2" in width, and 28 inches in total length. That tunes you to low 34s and gives good airspace. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
