Which battery would I need?

Recommended Posts

Okay, so I've had stock electrical forever now.

I started off with 2 cvrs on a rockford prime 1000d ( first setup, don't laugh ).

Then after a month I wanted more, couple of months went by & I bought an American Bass XFL 15.

The Rockford pushed it alright, it was 4.7 cuft after displacement.

After a couple of months, I sold the amp. Bought a new one.

I ended up getting a Hifonics Brutus 2100. Not the best, but it gets the job done.

Anyways, I sold the XFL. Now I'm planning to purchase a DC XL M1 15.

I've spent the last 2 days deadening my trunk to the T. Did everything in my power to prevent any kind of rattle or any kind of plastic or metal slap.

So now, I'm looking to purchase a new battery to help me push the DC, as I know the stock electrical isn't gonna cut it.

I'm just curious as to what battery I should get that would be able to run that amp without shitting on my Alternator, if I haven't already.

TLDR; I need a new battery, which would you suggest / reccomend.

I've seen Yellow tops for 100 & then I've seen Kinetik 2400s for 200 in my area. Is a 2400 too much for that amp?

Could I even maybe settle for an HC600?

Also, I noticed when cleaning up my wiring job earlier that I had a 100A 1/0 fuse holder.. Should I maybe upgrade the fuse? And if so, what fuse should I get?

Mids; Aura NS6-255-8A.
