DC Audio Recone Kit ( Question )
Semper replied to Semper's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
I like dis vid. -
What all does the kit include? Do the shims come with the kit? If not, what do I use for shims. CA Glue & Activator. How exactly do I apply these. Obviously lay down a nice bead of CA Glue but do I mix the activator with the ca glue, put it over the ca glue or under it? What exactly is the process? I've read the how to recone a subwoofer thread, but it wasn't as specific as I had hoped. It was more or less straight to the point.

LOL. I'm sitting here, trying to figure out which had cost you more... The batteries, or the 0 gauge. -

0 gauge issue!!!!!
Semper replied to Blockshaker101's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Electrical tape a terminal on the tip of the 0 gauge. Take a razor blade and cut the opening of the firewall open just a tad bit. It was meant to be air tight, so just give yourself a little bit of extra slack with the razor blade, and be careful not to cut any of the other wires during the process.. The terminal will help a bit, otherwise it's like pushing a limp rope through a keyhole. Honestly, I'd be EXTREMELY cautious when running the wire under the car. I ran mine through my center console, and under the carpeting between the two back seats of my car. It's out of sight, don't have to worry about the possibility of my car catching fire from the wire being damaged and it's clean & out of sight. -
It's a brz series, the claimed wattage is rated at 14.4V. He won't be playing music @ 14.4V, not to mention box rise.

I was planning to end it after his next reply.

Probably because the 45s most people use take up extra cuft. Instead of getting tight triangular shaped wedges that fit perfectly in the corner. so what does that do besides take up space as well? Your logic isnt exactly going to help your argument. It does take up space, but not nearly as much. Example below. so again whats your argument. you made the statement back it up. I said probably, it was an assumption that made perfect sense in my own head. Why do you have to be such a condescending prick about it? because you dont know what you are talking about but yet still trying to give advice. If you want to try to pull things out of your ass and try to present them as fact guess what? I'm going to call you out on it every time. dont get butt hurt because you got aired out. if you think that was condescending you havent seen anything. Re-read my post, I wasn't giving advice. Go ahead, call me out on my probable statement. I'm not butt-hurt & how did I get aired out? It was condescending and I can really care less as to how much more condescending you can be.

http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/73641-how-to-ship-a-subwoofer/ ^ I'd pay the extra money to have any subwoofer purchased off of this website to be shipped like that.
