2 15's possible?

Recommended Posts

Ok so my car hatch has the measurements of 36" deep, 37" wide, 22" tall. Is there any way I have enough space for 2 15's such as Skar vvx or similar? I'm sure the airpsace is there, but how would I mount the subs and still have port? Would subs up port out the front be possible? I mean that is what something like 14.5 cubes so that is plenty of space. The car is a 2005 impreza wagon.

My 2 type r's right now make it sound like a can full of bb's, I deadened the doors but ran out and never did the hatch. I am doing the hatch this time. I still have big 3, alt, new amp, subs, and more 0ga wire to run to get this done but it is my new project.

Here is another question? Would I be better off going with a single 18? I should have plenty of room for that also.

2 15's have more cone area than 1 18. I would go with 2 15's. and to answer your question, yes you have room for an 18 with 14.5 cubes. with that space you could do 2 18's if you really wanted to.

2 18's back there would just be insanity! With the dimensions of the hatch I don't know how that would work. It is only 37" wide so they couldnt sit next to each other. Plus I need to put a battery and my amps back there.

Yes, I was jsut saying you COULD if you REALLY wanted too but I would just stick with 2 15's. 14.5 cubes is a bit much for 2 15's though. depending on what woofers you choose anywhere from 3-5 cubes each is all you would need. I got 2 btls 15's 4 cubes each and that works well. ported to 33hz

Yeah I just want something that is loud, groundpounds, and overall just something new. I think 2 15's on about 2k watts is where this is going. Upgraded alt, big 3,sound deadening, 1 batt under hood/1 in hatch, 2k watt amp, and keep my comps, 4 channel, and avh-p4200dvd. Now for 15's that are good with 1kw daily.
