Decaf Posted December 27, 2007 Report Share Posted December 27, 2007 the "hz" or tuning frequency refers to the frequency which below it, the enclosure no longer exhibits cone control and the subwoofer starts to move more freely, usually causing overexcursion if no subsonic filter is used. it is determined by the length and diameter of the port in relation to its volume. someone looking for sq would tune lower, ie 30Hz or lower someone looking for sql would tune ~35hz someone looking for apl would tune 40hz and higher but its all about personal taste, do you want a low end monster, a fart box, flat response whats ur dimensions cause someone can help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
