bassface
So when you say 2 places in your headliner that are messed up, does that mean hes just going to lay this over the top of the existing headliner? Redcorn245
why cant you just put 1\4 inch foam down then put the suede over it?
87chevyboi
no im going to take off the factory headliner, but in the headliner board there is 2 imperfections, and red i can do that but i was jw if there was any fabric out there with 1/4 inch foam backing it so that i could use it for a couple of projects. like my doors and etc. Quote My build aka Snow White whats wrong with fat chicks? they are like mopeds, as long as your friends dont see you riding it, they are a blast! hahah I am dumb as a stump. Redcorn245
just finished mine with black suede from yourautotrim.com with the 1/8 inch and i screwed up my liner when i did it and weakened the actual form but except for where my helper (fiance only person available at time) didnt pull tight enough it looks great. i just glued it to the roof. planning on redoing it with a headliner with a doner headliner next month cause i have ocd and the 3 wrinkles only i can see are bugging me. just to let you know yourautotrim.com was on backorder of the black and may be out already i would call before ordering. if your liner is real bad order some closed cell sculpting foam to fix the issue. as for feeling imperfections you would have to know what you are feeling for, and at that point if someone is running there hands across your brand new SUEDE (yes i know its not real suede but still not cheap) headliner then you need to run your hand across their head! also get their performance high temp spray its the best, and sprayway industrial clean up dry cleaner in case you get glue on the suede, it will take it off even after it dries. all in all yourautotrim.com is the best place to go, awesome products, and they are extremely nice and helpful. if you run your hand cross my suede i run my hand cross your face lol i love it!!!!!! Chad Wilkins
Uh... Factory doesnt have 1/4 inch. Its 1/16 or 1/8. Also.. Make sure you get closed cell foam. I REALLY wouldnt use anything related to spraycan glue on a headliner. Please consider spending more money and purchasing good glue.. I would personally use weldwood contact adhesive (made for landau tops)
