I want them to be crossed over at 4k hz. How can i do this?
87chevyboi
buy a passive crossover, go active or put some capacitors inline of the positive wire on the speaker. youll have to google what capacitor will cut you down to 4k hz high pass Quote My build aka Snow White whats wrong with fat chicks? they are like mopeds, as long as your friends dont see you riding it, they are a blast! hahah I am dumb as a stump. Kevin M
You could buy a couple of these http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=266-472 or you could call PE and they will build you a custom set for around the same price. LZTYBRN
What is the impedance of your tweeters?
StatingROBIN
4 ohm
LZTYBRN
Well then according to this calculator, a 10 μF capacitor will give you a high pass of 3978 at -6db/octave. So that capacitor you linked should be just about right. And I don't think it really matters where you set the amp's crossover, but I would just set it to all pass.
