aquill1 Posted December 31, 2007 Report Share Posted December 31, 2007 Hello all I am going to build a box for my brothers explorer sport trac and he has limited space. To replace the stock sub we used a jl audio 8w0 but the stock plastic box just doesn't cut it. Here are the specs on the box that jl audio recommends building and this should fit under the seat (fingers crossed) otherwise I'll have to brainstorm a new box and figure out the dimensions. I figure building a ported box should give him the most output from the stock amp and would be even better if we have to add an amp (which I have a small visonik laying around brand new he could use that that is a 300 watt mono block which should be somewhere near 75 watts rms I'd imagine.) Anyways here is the picture of the specs from the jl paper. I was curious what I should use for the port, a piece of pvc or what?
