alternator help

swapped out my old 200amp alty with a new EA 300amp alty, need more WATTS, the postive post on the old alty had bad corrosion and fell off.

i have two postive runs of 2/0 welders wire from the alty to the batts and one from the engine block to the neg on the batt, two more

from the chasis to the neg on the batts.

before i changed the alty i cleaned the lugs from the wire and charged up my two batts in the trunk.

as soon as the batts were all charged up and my alty was swapped i cranked the car up and it was awesome,

14.5v but then i noticed after a while the voltage went down to 13.2v after about 45min. to an hour of the car being on.

when i rev the car up it goes up to 14.6v but then back to 13.2v is this normal being its a bigger alty and the weather

was 90degrees at 8pm?

the car is a chrysler 300 2006 v6.

thanks to everyone that helped,went outside today cranked it up and the voltage was sittin nicely at 14.7v for about 5min.

Sounds like typical over wound stock case low idle output to me when warmed up.

There's a reason that the alt companies that wont stay with the times are falling behind in the game. EA is one of them
