Codymac06 Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 What's up guys, Ill soon be purchasing 2 DC XL 12s and putting them in my Honda accord. I want to build the box to be faceing forward behind the back seat, and sealed around it so that air doesn't leak into the trunk. Any one know what the best ported box design would be? I want it tuned to around 35 htz and my dimensions are 15 tall, 32 wide and up to 30 inches deep to allow room for my air tank and amps. I just don't know how to design the port so that I get the max performance. Any tips would be greatly appreciated Quote
Joe X Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 Here is a suggestion: Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 35 Hz Vb = 3 ft^3 External Height = 15 in External Width = 32 in External Depth = 20 in Port Width = 3 1/2 in Cut Sheet List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: 2 x Front & Back (3 parts) = 32 x 15 Left & Right Sides = 17 3/4 x 13 1/2 Top & Bottom = 32 x 17 3/4 L Port Internal Assembly Parts: Front to Back = 14 1/4 x 13 1/2 Extension = 6 x 13 1/2 PM questions if any as I usually don't check this section.
