Changing out battery terminals...

Heres whats currently on my positive and neg terminals. (thought theres now a run of 1/0 on there also for the power wire for my system)

My negative terminal has 2 cables running to it, and it will be more after i do the big 3. But those 2 are crimped into the same connector. The big chunck of plastic on my + terminal houses 3-4 wires and a some fuses it looks like. I just ordered a Kinetic HC1400, and id like to do the big 3 when i go to put it in. When i do this, i would like to also clean up the terminals and make everything look a bit neater under the hood.

How important are those fuses? what are they for (if you happen to know, if not ill research more). It would be nice to cut them out and do something nice and clean, but i don't want to fuck anything up in the process buy just cutting the shit out of the way.

Also, do you have any suggestions for terminals? Im looking at the Konfused terminals, since they seem to have a decent amount of outs on them, and I'm going to be going with their wire to do the big 3, so just do one order and call it all done is my logic.

This works for till i get the blown amp fixed] Alpine 4ch salvaged from blazer (currently near death)9887 peerless 7s in the doors and CDT tweeters ran active no speakers in the rearKintik HC1400 under the hood.metered once a while ago, dont remember it...was piss poor compared to the blazer, mid 130s i think....looking to replace subs and amp when i have money.

also, for the big 3, could i get away with the KCA cable, or should i go with the OFC wire? I used the KCA for the rest of my build, works fine so far, and its been in this car for a bit over 2 years. and how necessary is it to fuse from alt to battery when I'm getting the HC1400, and my alt only makes 120A. Finding a spot to mount the fuse i have for my run to the back was a bitch, i don't know how much space i have for another fuse.
