Building a speaker tower and am a bit confused on what wiring configuration I should use and what method would be best to power it. Budget is sort of tight. There are a variety of options #1: Two separate boxes, 4x10's in each, wired series/parallel to 8 ohm load, 200w RMS, with an amp (or two) that puts out 200-400w RMS at 8 ohms #2: One single box, all 8x10's in, wired series per pair/parallel/parallel to 4 ohm load, aim for 400-800w RMS at 4 ohms #3: (not recommended) Two separate boxes, wired parallel/parallel to 2 ohm load, risk overpowering subs/amp on conventional amps (fine if you're using car amp on battery/inverter) POTATO!
