need some door help

okay guys, first topic, so go easy. ive read off and on for a while, and always considered myself as a guy who could read and make educated decisions. but with this, i think im overthinking it and need advice.

ive started messing with a new vehicle i bought recently, its an 03 Chevy Trailblazer.

it had a Bose 6 speaker system in it stock. the dash speakers crackled, the rear door speakers buzzed, and the front door woofers sounded blown.

i decided to rip it all out. i replaced the dash speakers with some older Infinity Reference 3 1/2s a friend had. i replaced the rear door speakers with some cheaper 5.25 pioneer 3ways. the front door speakers are still the 8" (or close to it) Bose woofers currently.

ive amped the front 3 1/2" speakers with a modest 25x2 amp, and they have a capacitor to roll off everything below 400, so i just send full range there. they sound okay. i had an older audiocontrol 2xs crossing the 3 1/2s and 8" woofers at 90hz and it was awful. i wanted to build a new crossover module to cross them at like 400, but scratched that idea.

i now have a boss 7band with sub out preamp eq and am able to get some better clarity, but the woofers are basically dead. currently unhooked. was running a 4channel dual rca-in amp for the woofers in the front doors and the rear 3ways. i do think i need a better 4channel amp.

the pioneers in the rear doors sound decent. it helps out in the midrange, but it draws my attention backwards.

what im wanting to do it replace the 8" woofers, but im lost on whether to go 8" or 6.5", whether to look for a midrange or a midbass, and do i utilize the audiocontrol and rechip it for a higher crossover, or try and get what i need out of the 7band preamp eq i have.

i have a modest 10" sub in the back that does pretty well on 500watts rms, but i am missing alot of music.

i listen to alot of metal, and i feel im missing some midrange stuff, and alot of drum hits/kicks. it sounds okay, but harsh. i need some help up front.

ive been reading alot about crossovers and bandpass filters, and honestly my head hurts thinking about it. im not super smart with car audio, and i know when to ask questions because im over my head. i just want my stuff to sound good and clean.

my budget is low, and i dont want to run 39 speakers in each door. this is my daily driver.

if my parts array or setup sounds awful, i can take constructive criticism and build from it. im not as smart as alot of the folks here when it comes to this stuff. ive considered alot of different speakers and types, but i dont know enough about auto sound to know what to buy.

If you want some midrange punch you will need Dynamat or otherwise dampen your front doors and install a component system or separates. I would recommend a good 6.5" component system and an amp, you can use coaxials but they won't sound as good or hit the mid bass as well.

I'm gonna hate
