Braingetter Posted January 8, 2008 Report Share Posted January 8, 2008 BG............Is this a pretty Decent Panel....for 60 bux It bigger than Ill probably ever need.....but for 60.00,seems like a good price Lowes GP- that is ok for a panel replacement, but you don't need to replace the primary, just add a secondary-sub panel.. Besides, u would need to add a 125A breaker to your main panel and need 1/0 aluminum conductors to power that panel correctly.. I will look around for you, all you need is a 60 amp sub panel, I seen them around home depot for like 25 bux, the 60 amp breaker to put in your main panel is prob around 14 bux, and you will need to run 6/3 romex w/ ground to power it up. When u have time post up the breakers amp ratings you have, and double check the a/c unit outside to make sure it's not oversized - it happens alot..... I will le you know if your main panel can handle the sub panel without overloading your ish.... gotta keep that house of yours for at least a few years ,lol.....
