Turbo_D Posted July 4, 2012 Report Posted July 4, 2012 Ok guys im from the Caribbean (Trinidad&Tobago), i am currently building my car for competition thus far ive won 2 trophies for 1st place loudest single 10" and 2nd place in DB3 category at a MECA TT show. im using a orion hcca 10.2 sub, and i am powering it with a precision power DCX 1000.1. I currently have the sub in a 1/4 wave transmission line enclosure and it hits very hard. The enclosure is just placed in the trunk, and i was wondering if sealing it off would make it louder.

For some reason the 10 inch orions are like the abandoned step child that nobody heard of or have any experience with so dont be surprised if you dont get much help cuz I didnt find too much info on these subs ANYWHERE ON ANY SITE ( just to clarify om not shitting on this site)... Im powering mine with a logic TX 3000d and its in a 2ft^3 l port tuned at 35hz... From what I've read a few places sealed off from trunk firing into cabin is loudest on meter and feels like it hit harder facing rear, I could be wrong though, and I also dont know if enclosure type makes a difference in this since im still new to some of these things Factory double din navi unit with 30gb internal Crescendo bc3500 DD 9512i

Turbo_D Posted July 4, 2012 Author Report Posted July 4, 2012 ok thanks bro ive tried many enclosures but when you going in competition in my country "LOUD" is everything and since ive started building the T-line enclosures they have proven themselves to be better than the rest in that aspect. i still have to work on my current problems because that is very important so ill do that. i will still try sealing of my trunk and see how that works for me. with respect to the voice speakers i cant really tell you what they are but usually everyone goes with eminence, RCF, Eighteen sound,B&C,DAS. i got 4 PPI 10" midbass speakers with 4 440ti selenium drivers on the mids and highs and at times i feel i need more mids because my bass is overpowering them.
