Need help picking an amp for my sub.

Well, I was originally going to get a Mayhem and have it be on a stupid amount of power, but I am going with a more practical and cheaper sub since my electrical wouldn't end up powering the Mayhem.

I've got the SSA Xcon 15" dual 2 pretty much picked out and will be ordering shortly. Which amp would go nicely with it? It has a 1750 RMS rating. I was thinking the Hifonics Brutus 1700D. It's pretty low-priced which is always a plus and I hear it's a decent amp. Thoughts? Thanks!

Hifonics makes some good amps for cheap, that would be a good choice, what do you plan on running as far as ohms with the amp?

1998 Pontiac grand prix gtp supercharged2 12" Obsidain Audio V.1 on a 2011 zx1500.1 at 2 ohms. 20ft of Knuconceptz CCA 0 Guage. 2nd Battery is a Shurken BT-120. Box is 3.5cu tuned at 31.8hz sealed off from the trunk. 14sqft of Dynamat on the Rear deck top & bottom. Soon to be more for doors/roof. Gets low & loud

Did a 140.5 Sealed at Battle of the boom in June 2013 dropping to 12.7v (need a alt mines going bad)

you're still gonna need to add/replace batteries with a 1700 watt amp, most likely.
