I'm sitting here watching BTTF3 and Marty and Doc are digging a Delorean out of a cave and fixing it up so Marty can go back to 1885 and fix stuff and junk. Um, Question? Why not just use the Delorean that Marty just came back to 1955 in to go back to 1885? Furthermore, If Doc was in the Delorean that got hit by lightning and sent back to 1885 at the end of BTTF2, how did Marty get back to 1955 in the first place? The only Delorean in existance with time travel capability is in 1885 with trashed time circuits. Gotta love paradoxes.
