01VWGREENMACHINE
i apologize it sounded like we had the same problem. i wasn't trying to be rude or anything i thought i posted it but i must not have. at idle i'm at 12.4 and when i go up to 1000 rpm (250 rpm difference) it goes to 14 volts i know for a fact its not belt slip in my car i have %80 belt wrap (see picture in first post). it is putting a load at idle cause i have to turn it up to half way and i don't see it drop voltage. once i get to volume 26 to 28 my volts drop to 11.8 or so yours would help with a smaller belt since your having slippage. 01VWGREENMACHINE
you can also get a bigger idle pulley i thought the same thing but if i would need to take the tension er off i wouldn't be able to lock it into place being that the pulley would be to large and it would hit the motor mount Quote http://www.stevemead...f-system-build/ 2001 VW GTI with a 1.8T motor BIG 3 Pioneer AVH-4200DVD DOUBLE DIN HEAD UNIT 6 - 4 VOLT PREOUTS RF T1500-BDCP (running at 2 ohm) RF T400.4 RF T1 D212 x2 (in ported box) RF 1/0 TO 4 GAUGE distribution block x 2 all stinger wires 200a alternator (SINGER ALT) RF T2652-S (6.5 MID BASS AND 1" TWEETS in front and rear) KINETIC HC 800 BATTERY (Front) KINETIC HC 1200 BATTERY (BACK) 120ft of 1/0 stinger blue and clear matt 20ft of 4 gauge stinger blue and clear matt 30ft of 8 gauge stinger blue and clear matt 100ft of 12 gauge stinger speaker wire black
