dpeebs Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 i just got a brand new hifonics brutus brz 1700.1 it came with a bass knob, is the knob for bass boost or bass gain? i plugged it in when music was playing and the sub got louder. also iv read that if you turn the knob up then adjust the gain (level on my amp) then it wont go past that point. is this true? also if anybody can help me understand more of the sub sonic and bass eq knob, iv read the manuall but its kinda confusing to me. thanks

JR2011bu Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 So just to clarify the knob is only a bass knob not a bass boost knob. Simply put it is like a volume control for you amplifier. So yes set your gains to prefered level, and the knob will not go past the gain level that is set at the amp.. I have never heard my amps get louder when plugging in my bass knob.
