dl9890 Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 I've been looking to upgrade my 2 12" kicker comps. I've been looking at a pair of 12" Fi ssd subs but I would have to get a new amp. I just bought this amp and don't really want to get rid of it, so I'm going to have to work around it. What would be a good pair of subs, or even a single 15" that would be good and loud on this amplifier. Any ideas and input are good, thanks!
ZachG Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 Obsidian audio 15 or 18, they good, cheap , just run it at 2 ohms with the gain 2/3 1998 Pontiac grand prix gtp supercharged2 12" Obsidain Audio V.1 on a 2011 zx1500.1 at 2 ohms. 20ft of Knuconceptz CCA 0 Guage. 2nd Battery is a Shurken BT-120. Box is 3.5cu tuned at 31.8hz sealed off from the trunk. 14sqft of Dynamat on the Rear deck top & bottom. Soon to be more for doors/roof. Gets low & loud Did a 140.5 Sealed at Battle of the boom in June 2013 dropping to 12.7v (need a alt mines going bad)

I think a pair of obsidian 12's would work well. the sundown SA line, and the Skar VVX line are both pretty good, common matches for 1k watt systems. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.
