Guest
needs more port, again. look at port area and port area range. i never can figure out how people overlook one of the most important things in the calc. did you just make up the woofer and bracing displacements? just wondering
Guest
With the dimensions you're at now, can you even fit the box in the trunk? I'll bet not fully assembled at least. Building a box INSIDE of the trunk can be done, but it's a pain in the ass. x2. plus the port cant be too close to the hatch. it needs room to breathe. Spencer Good
Let me go measure the trunk opening, about 99% sure I can with no issues. I took the measurements and need to do a little revamp on it.. Is 17" height safe with 15" woofers? CleanSierra
Let me go measure the trunk opening, about 99% sure I can with no issues. It's easy to think you can until you have a BIGGG heavy box and you're trying to wrestle it into the trunk. I say build it, and let's see. Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

I've changed my box size.. i'm taking the sad road and doing it 7 cf at 32hz instead of 8 cf. But this time I know I can fit it in for sure. Guest
do sub up and port back (towards the hatch). edit: and i'll say this again. you dont want the port to be too close to the hatch. it needs room to breathe. At the height i've put it.. I should be able to push it back with at least a foot to breathe. Spencer Good
Thank you for the help guys, I have finished the design and hopefully it should be just about perfect; all things are accounted for. Port area is within range, 31.99hz tuning, and 7.6 CF ( Best I can do ). Really appreciate it Edited August 10, 2012 by Spencer Good Quote 2012 TORed Challenger 4 Alpine Type-R 10 1 Brutus 2400.1 20' Knu 1/0 OFC 1 XS Power D1200
