Ian Stith
I have an eight inch sub woofer without any label... I am going to build a folded horn cabinet for it just for shigles. I don't want any lectures on how it is a waste and stupid, i just want to do it. Has anyone ever herd of/know of any eight inch folded horn sub cabs? or should i just model a larger one to scale? Thanks Im a broke student. still manage to have a pretty good system though.. (at least i think)

Halostryker
I was gonna do the same thing but like the other guy said it's impossible without the specs. I I had to settle building a ported box
Pierre-luc Gagnon
If ur interested in building one of these enclosure u need the small parameters of the driver so either finding them out or measuring them urself would be the first step I have seen a couple of nice horn setup (even single digit ones!) and i can understand why u want a try at this They sound amazing the midbass is pure sex and u cant hear motor distortion from them There efficency are also scary! I seen 18 inch 18 foot folded horn with 98 db eff that is retarded and it was runing off 5000 rms lol idlew1ld the French Frog !

Pierre-luc Gagnon
Now what uneed to do is find a program similar then winisd that supports horn enclosure prediction and from then u can model How ur system will react in different enclosures then from there u can decide on the size u will allow vs tradeoff for ur room Keep in mind folded horn design are huge! idlew1ld the French Frog !
