15inch subwoofers With a 50oz magnet?
Ian Stith replied to Ian Stith's topic in Pro Audio / Home Audio / Home Theatre
So i went for it. I have one in my Home theater, tunned to 20hz in a slot ported, i have the crossover at 50hz ( or else it is overpowering). It beats hard, it will shake the lights in a room about 4 rooms over. -
I am looking into purchasing two 15inch speakers. The manufacture is "Ultimate" model is PW1550. The speakers were originally made in the nineties. I was mainly wondering, for 300watts, is the 50oz magnet good enough? The xmax is .5inches...... Is fifty dollars worth it?

Wow Kranny, your answer to a 29 post noob, me. There more post´s of you in this style, in the last times. That is like the big 12 K post Kranny, tell the "I know alot, but have only time to spit about the other posts and , till another SMD member give you the right guess and maby i give a blessing on this if i want. Thats superficial, unperceptive and a little arrogant. Have this to be in this form from you? I try to do it better and give a 2nd guess. To the Op, on your side i would take a 15 from the IVX D 4 subs and run him on http://www.ebay.com/...499%2520W&rt=nc a Alpine MRP 450. There is one for 65 $ and if you want + 11 for warranty and another in auction. I guess you the 15 in case of the more conearea = louder. Build a proper box and your brother will have a nice substage for near 200 buck´s. Thank you for the information, that would be more along the lines my brother is looking for. ,Ian

I am fairly new to car audio, it will be in a completely stock 2003 Subaru forester with a new battery. I know how to install amps, but the gauge of wire can be determined when the right amp is found, but can i get an estimate on the other stuff i am neglecting to think about? I probibly will go with the SKAR "IVX-10 D2/D4" as it is $90 a sub, but i am willing to go for a different one if it is better than this one (if they exist.)

I am looking to do an extreme budget build for my brothers car. He already has good mids/highs from a previous project, but he wants more base. I know this is a forum for great pricy not that much of a budget projects, but i am not going to drop a load for a ride that wont even be used much. The current budget is $200 (not including the wood, screws, glue and other tools) for an amp and sub(s). Also i want to steer clear of sony xplod (terrible in most every way). Has anyone had any experience with Pyle? I have a 10 from them and that will be good enough for my brother, but anything better for the money? Many thank yous for any help.

Hdmi or RCA inputs for audio?
Ian Stith replied to Brian2435's topic in Pro Audio / Home Audio / Home Theatre
If you have the RCA in, most revievers will play the rear left the same as front left, and the same with the right. So it wont be true surround, but most likely it will pump sound to every speaker
