mojo 4000 watt amp question

How many batteries does it take to run one of these safely and I assume 0 guage wire ? any other tips ? most its going to push is 2 FI Btl's 15" but its all going in a Integra.

Im just starting out, so the alt is only a 90 amp and the battery is stock, maybe 450 ccc. I only have 4 guage running to the back right now.

well for memphis 4k, upgrade your battery under the hood, stick 2 kinetik 2400's in the back, do the big 3 upgrade in 0awg, and run 0awg from the front battery to a back battery and just run the 2 back batteries in parallel in all 0awg. and 0awg from a back battery to the amp. and grounds all in 0awg(as many as possible)

you think the alternator will be ok or does it need upgraded to ? for now Im only running 1 fully loaded BTL 15 at 4 ohm. but would like to run at 1 ohm with the gain down

at 4 ohms, stock will be fine with those upgrades. at 1 ohm, high output alternator is a MUST.

had a friend have mojo 4k in his ford f150, when he cranked it on stock alternator, it shut off his truck.

those mojo 4k's are very very power hungry and have been known to fry easily if abused(not given proper electrical)

Maybe im better off leaving it at 4 ohm and doing the wires and finding some battery's like you said then, Im suppose to get another 15" but Ill have to build a different box and such so Ill just do this for now. I appriciate the help !

yeah until you can afford all the upgrades to support 4k, leaving it at 4ohms is best. no problem.
