biamp with crossover??

Recommended Posts

i have a set of apline type x spx-17pros and the crossover it came with has 2 inputs 1 for the woofer and one for the tweeter. the amp i got is a 4 channel, 60 watts x2 @ 4 ohm and 100 watts x2 @ 4 ohm. should i run the tweeters off one channel and the woofer off the other with the crossover. or should i ditch the crossover?

the crossover is pretty impresive it has a "phase link modual" you just plug is these things the adjust the phase of your speaker depending on your speaker location, so im think i should use the crossover?

a pic of that crossover would help more ... I'm not familiar with that setup ...

I guess what i'm asking is if this is a "Active" or "Passive" style crossover to be able to answer this ...

should i run the tweeters off one channel and the woofer off the other with the crossover. or should i ditch the crossover?

I'm thinking it is a "active" crossover ... Do you have "active setup" RCAs from the headunit to run a active setup ??

meaning a pair of RCAs for the tweeters and a pair of RCAs for the mid / midbass drivers ...
