How do you set up the HU eq with the dd-1.

And how do you set your bass amp with the gain knob?

Eq on head unit needs to be set flat when using the dd1. Once you have the gains set, you can adjust the eq down only. Remote bass knob should be set to max before using the dd1.

This was my problem yesterday. I couldn't figure out how I would set my EQ if the gain on the amp is already maxed out. It makes sense now. If you want more highs, set the mids and/or bass negative a couple points until the ear is satisfied. Same if you want more bass or mids.
