ear2ear
So a cutout in the baffle adds internal volume to a box. If you have extra baffle(s) this multiplies and becomes more significant. Anybody take that into accout besides me? Also a little bit of box theory/question: We figure a port LENGTH end correction, right? Usually half the port width. Isn't it true that any volume can either belong to the net that the woofer sees OR the port - but not both? So if we are saying the port 'acts' longer, doesn't that volume belong to the port? In other words subtracted from the net volume? I have always figured a triangular or semi circle 'bump' at the end of the port & subtracted from the net... What do you guys think?
