Mlcantin
When an amp has a crossover option what is the difference between lpf and full?
Guest
lpf = low pass filter = cuts out high frequencies. usually either a switch or a knob. full = full range = allows all frequencies through.
c.director
LPF is a low pass filter, letting the low frequency's pass.. So the setting for a bass amp. Full lets all signal through for full range speakers. Guest
lol neither is "better". you use whichever one you need to accomplish what you're doing. lpf's are usually used for subwoofers. you dont want vocals coming through your subwoofers so you use an lpf to filter that out.
