CXHBumpin39 Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 I'm looking to upgrade, i currently have a planet audio ac3000.1d, but i feel like i should upgrade to a better brand due to reading that it can't do the rated power which is 2100 rms at 1 ohm. I'm looking for an amp that will put out 1500 to 2000 watts rms at 1 or 2 ohms and won't break the bank. Thanks in advance
Guest Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 what subwoofer do you have? model numbers help immensely edit: and also, what is your budget. we need to know these two things before you can be helped further
CXHBumpin39 Posted September 8, 2012 Author Report Posted September 8, 2012 well right now i have 4 hifonics hfi12d4's but i'm in the process of either buying a fi q 15 fully loaded or 2 re 15 inch sxx, not sure which ones yet
Guest Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 go with Fi. RE has been turning to shit recently. im not trying to ruin their name, but its the truth. 1500rms at 1 ohm? sundown saz 1500 will work.
CXHBumpin39 Posted September 8, 2012 Author Report Posted September 8, 2012 well i was really interested in those re audio ones... my friend has 12's but i think there a lower model and they were loud
CXHBumpin39 Posted September 8, 2012 Author Report Posted September 8, 2012 well what do you think of the audioque hdc3 15 in comparison to a fi q 15?
Guest Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 yeah loud to you, but its just terrible chinese made subwoofers. an hdc3 and q are made for two completely different purposes. one is intended for getting brutally loud, the other for sounding nice
CXHBumpin39 Posted September 8, 2012 Author Report Posted September 8, 2012 well db wise how loud is a fi q, i know there not meant for spl tho
Guest Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 impossible to tell you how loud a woofer will be.
